Loreena McKennitt - Live at the Royal Albert Hall

Loreena McKennitt's record label Quinlan Road will release her live album "Live At The Royal Albert Hall" on vinyl for the first time on 10 June 2022.

The retail edition (QRLP118) continues the tradition of releasing Loreena's releases in a high-quality black 180g vinyl pressing. The 180g edition of Live At the Royal Albert Hall is issued as a two-LP set and is packaged in a gatefold sleeve. This edition was pressed at Record Industry and mastered by Stuart Bruce, who engineered and mixed the original recordings.

Live At the Royal Albert Hall was originally released on compact disc and via digital services in November 2019 and features significantly different repertoire to any previous Loreena concert release.

It features seven songs never before released as live tracks, six of which are from her latest studio recording Lost Souls.

All 20 songs from the 2019 release are included in this 2-LP set and have been arranged in a brand new order to ensure the best possible fidelity on all four sides of the vinyl.

The performance at London's famed Royal Albert Hall was part of McKennitt's Spring 2019 European tour, and to celebrate she brought five special guest musicians to complement her core band: renowned Egyptian master percussionist Hossam Ramzy, who has since sadly passed away; Spaniard Daniel Casares, one of the world's finest flamenco guitarists; and Canadians Ben Grossman on hurdy-gurdy, bodhran, accordion and percussion, and Ian Harper on uilleann pipes, bombard, Turkish clarinet, flutes and whistles. Spanish musician Ana Alcaide played the nyckelharpa.
