Pittiplatsch, one of the most popular characters on GDR television, first appeared in 1962. The funny stories of Pitti and his friends from "Unser Sandmännchen" are still classics of German-language children's television programming today. On the occasion of his 60th birthday, the oldest friends from the TV programme gather to congratulate the little imp: Schnatterente Schnatterinchen, the grumpy dog Moppi as well as Herr Fuchs and Frau Elster from the fairytale forest present their most beautiful radio plays.
