Hip Hop and Hamburg? Do not go without each other. Hard street rap and the Hanseatic city? Certainly not. The best example of this might be AchtVier, TaiMO, Stanley and their label Steuerfreimoney. As uncompromising as the three raps currently none about Kopfnicker beats with Oldschool feeling. With Sampler Volume 1 is now the first sampler of Steuerfreimoney guys from 040. Steufreimoney 2016 was founded by AchtVier, who is by no means unknown in the scene: As a former member of the 187 street gang, the Hamburger was represented on their first two samplers and is since his second album Abstand with one foot of a permanent guest in the German album charts – with the other he is still on the road and has signed from there directly two of Hamburg’s hottest newcomers rap in his tax-free money imprint. On the one hand TaiMO, straight from the Horner Corner in Hamburg-East, whose album Tai Till I Die made it to # 38 on the charts in the spring and to the other the Billstedter Stanley and both are in no way inferior to their label boss. I signed them because they are just good rappers. TaiMO and Stanley have a blatant technique, their own voices, humor but also hardness and above all hunger for a hundred. With Sampler Volume 1 the first label sampler will appear. 15 tracks by TaiMO, Stanley and AchtVier, which act as leased line from the Hamburg focal points. Sampler Volume 1 means 90 minutes old school feeling. Thick basses, hard drums and a sound that cites the sound of the East and Westcoast of the 90s and is not at all interested in what’s happening in the southern states or France. If the others all sing about their danceable beats with Auto Tune, AchtVier says aka Fizzle. We belong to the other five percent and wanted to deliver with the sampler once again a real hip hop album.
